Dr. Robyn Gartrell is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology/Oncology/Stem Cell Transplantation at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, and an attending pediatric oncologist at New York-Presbyterian’s Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.

Her laboratory uses advances in tumor immunology to develop more effective and more personalized therapies for children with cancer. In particular, they use multiplex platforms and immunogenomics to evaluate the tumor microenvironment and determine which pediatric tumor types, and which patients, will respond to immunotherapy. Concepts from the laboratory are now being translated into clinical trial concepts through the Pacific Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Consortium (PNOC) and Children’s Oncology Group (COG).
