Ashley Margol, MD, MS earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida prior to attending medical school at the Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California (USC). She completed her pediatric residency training at Los Angeles County/USC and fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). She remained at CHLA for an additional year of training in pediatric neuro-oncology and has been part of the CHLA neuro-oncology program ever since. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical, Biomedical and Translational Research from the Keck School of Medicine.

Dr. Margol is the Director of the Brain Tumor Center, Neuro-Oncology Program and Neuro-Oncology Fellowship Program and attending physician in the Cancer and Blood Disease Institute at CHLA. She is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.

Dr. Margol is a clinical researcher with a specific interest in pediatric central nervous system tumors. She is the Director of Clinical Trial Development and co-leads the Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor (AT/RT) Working Group for the Pacific Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Consortium (PNOC). Dr. Margol has designed a comprehensive ATRT registry and is co-chairing an innovative clinical trial for children with recurrent/progressive ATRT. In addition she is focused on the use of external control cohorts for to aid in novel and efficient conduct of clinical trials for children with rare diseases.
