In 2005, Jay co-founded Arcxis Biotechnologies and served as the Chief Technology Officer. Under his guidance, the company achieved remarkable milestones before its sale in 2010. During his tenure, Jay led a team that created innovative solutions in the biotechnology
field.
Later, Jay joined Fluidigm as the Senior Director of R&D, where he played a pivotal role in driving transformative advancements. He led the development of groundbreaking technologies, including the C1 and Polaris systems, which revolutionized the field of molecular biology. He has an extensive publication record which includes, Nature Biotechnology, Cell, Nature Neuroscience and Science.
