Lauren is the Associate Chief Medical Officer at the Focused Ultrasound Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to accelerate the development and regulatory approval of Focused Ultrasound, recognizing the challenges and barriers that emerging medical technologies must overcome to achieve clinical adoption. FUSF accomplishes this mission through preclinical and clinical research funding, fostering education and awareness via symposia, workshops and webinars, government advocacy, and pro bono consulting services for focused ultrasound startup companies.

Lauren is the director of the DIPG Program at FUSF, which aims to broaden the scope of focused ultrasound applications to include this devastating pediatric brain tumor. She received her MD at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine and trained in Anesthesiology at the University of Virginia. She received her MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
