My name is Nicole Puglisi and I am a survivor of a typically diagnosed childhood cancer, DIPG. My diagnosis came as an incidental finding after being involved in a motor vehicle accident in 2016.
I have found great purpose in my fight with DIPG, particularly in being the voice of the many affected by this typically fatal diagnosis and serving as an advocate for childhood cancer. Despite the challenges faced throughout my diagnosis, I have continued to persevere towards my goals of becoming a clinical therapist.
As a recent graduate, I am hopeful to utilize my educational background and lived experience to guide others in navigating the challenges of life such as the unexpected diagnosis of cancer.
