Sarah is a physicist by training (TU Munich, Germany) and completed a PhD at the intersection of practical wet lab and computational biology at the Institute of Cancer Research (UK). Today, she is a group leader for pediatric oncology applications within the Biomedical Data Science lab at ETH Zurich. Her research harnesses combinations of mathematical modelling and advanced machine learning to optimize therapy for pediatric brain tumors from multimodal data. As part of this project, she closely collaborate with the Pacific Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Consortium and the DMG Center Zurich.
