Dr. Laura Hsieh, co-founder and CEO of TippingPoint Biosciences, is a former UCSF postdoc in Geeta Narlikar’s lab. Dr. Hsieh obtained her Ph.D from University of Washington/Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Cellular and Molecular Biology. She has authored multiple first author publications and is the recipient of an American Cancer Society postdoctoral fellowship. During the course of her career, Dr. Hsieh has directed several team projects, invented and built TippingPoint Bio’s core technology platform at UCSF, was accepted into many competitive accelerator and mentorship programs, won multiple pitch competitions sponsored by Pharma, and successfully closed on $1.5M pre-seed financing to spin TippingPoint Bio out of UCSF.
