.Heather is serving as the RadFlix Executive Director for both Canada and the United States.
Heather has extensive experience in the non-profit world, in particular with charities that support families dealing with a diagnosis of childhood cancer. Beyond her professional experience, Heather comes to us with personal experience in the childhood cancer world, having navigated a diagnosis of neuroblastoma with her daughter, Evelyn from 2018-2020. Heather has a huge heart for advocacy for better treatments and mental health support for childhood cancer patients, survivors, and their families.
Heather has a degree in Behavioural Sciences with a focus in Psychology and is currently a graduate student doing her Masters in Social Work at the University of Calgary. She has a particular interest in the mental health and well-being of children, adolescents, and their families who experience radiation as part of their cancer treatment.
Heather has been the recipient of several awards, including the prestigious Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for her betterment of the province of Alberta where she currently lives with her family.
